There
were three musketeers
One is
hiding with tears
Sighing
in silence
She
was longing for the presence
She
felt an outcast in their natter
Half-filled
emotions she cannot utter
One
musketeer is now alone
A fog
is lifting at dawn
She
noticed the gap in between
Ploddingly
dissipating in the scene
One
musketeer is now with a heavy heart
Sentiments
that she would not want to impart
She
remains aloof from time to time
Steering
clear that she might cross the line
One
musketeer is now in fear
Her
four-leaf clover might disappear
“I love you” he uttered gallantly.
I
can’t seem to will myself the first time I heard those three words from him. He
gazes down through his ocean eyes and met the shore of my spectacle. I heard it
over and over like waves from the coast – pushing and ebbing. It began to sound
like a hymn that grips my throat tautly and strangled my head in muddle. I
overstayed my silence with my heart on pause until the words “I love you too” came out from my lips
wistfully. At that moment, I couldn’t tell if I said the right words that came
along with how he actually feels. I knew I meant what I said. But it was a
different kind of love we were proclaiming to each other.
Found this poem I wrote way back 2015. Although I may have altered a little while I was listening to The Carpenter's Album on a Sunday Afternoon. Before anything else, let me leave you something to start with: Love is a gamble and a choice. But in any situation, never be afraid to put your well-being above all no matter how many excuses you have constructed for you to abide misdemeanor.
Restless Heart
I refuse the reality
A flux I must know to acquiesce
The sun dunned, setting in silence
Parting shrouded miscellanies
My gentle heart pinned on my sleeve
A tale I waited for so long
Fastened by his hasty existence
What I believed to grip and hold
My eyes began to cascade tears
Beneath the sheets I lay at night
Vigorously searching for breath
His subtle kiss at once belied
I roused from my reckless soul
My love is a profound abyss
He can never call it his home
So I can rest my heart at ease

Here's to the guy I have never met before. The one I've been eyeing for so long and felt like I knew him for quite a while. I'm sure he saw me once in the crowd without familiarizing the structure of my face. He never knew I was there and never will. I lost count the time we had our eyes in contact. It felt like a moment but actually only lasted for less than a quick second. He was oblivious of my nervous acts every time we cross our paths; the thumping of my heart and the rush I feel in that fast encounter. He is beautiful. And with each passing day I see him, he is even more beautiful. As if that is impossible but that is also an enchanting truth. I became addicted gazing at him as if he is a work of art. His stare at the crowd are melting my knees, hoping it was meant for me. His voice, that I barely heard, was like an old classic song that you've missed.
The scariest thing is, he is like a quicksand that I try to escape but gradually pulling every inch of my emotions back. How can someone be so attached to whom they barely even know?
Is it possible for someone to feel attached to a stranger? Message me about your thoughts x
